Channel:Davide Swarup
About: Davide Swarup is often said to be a « soul player ». As a Hand Pan musician, a very unique one, he inspires and blows the mind away from thoughts or mental mechanisms. Listening to his melodies is a way of meditating. Davide himself plays in a meditative state, allowing the music to come to him, without the ego or any kind of control interfering. The energy just flows through him, as if channelled: his compositions come to him from somewhere out there and make them so special. Body, hands and fingers, so relaxed and smooth, become the translation of a beyond as well as the pure expression of the here and now. Channel:Morningwasichu
About: The picture above is of my old friend Thomas Banyacya, a Hopi Elder (in the other world since 1990), who spent his life travelling around the world, and eventually speaking at the United Nations - about the oncoming global environmental threats that are now staring in our faces/consciences. I got involved/educated in American Indian issues through him and the passage of Public Law 93-531 - another (like many before) assault pitting indigenous people, US established tribal councils and the US Government - against each other via "divide and conquer", an old, tried and true method to wear people down to where they will agree with you. Thomas left a profound impact on my life. It completely changed, and I've been working my heart out, to the best of my ability, which is by no means enough, to do my part in protecting our mother and helping indigenous people retain their lands and their culture.

Channel:Tribal Times
About: Why isn't Native American History a part of school curriculums? In my opinion, there is no doubt that the lack of representation in school curriculums and the lack of acknowledgment of these injustices highly contribute to the mass spreading of racism and xenophobia against Native American communities. This is why I support the initiatives that are being pushed forward in different states, such as Connecticut, North Dakota, and Oregon, aimed to include this topic in school courses. Now, since the process will take some time, it is time for us to start now creating a change. I have taken it upon myself to factually teach on subjects such as Native American history, culture, trauma, healings, and contemporary issues. The following subjects will be taught via animated video series. We cannot change the past. But we can certainly learn from it. We need to acknowledge the history of our Native American people and reject those who aim to discriminate against us.
